Relaxation Massage

A great way to take time out and let your mind and body catch up and relax.  Relaxation massage helps de-stress and loosen up your body and let go of tension.  Often this is the only time in a week or even a month where we take time out for ouselves, a very important thing to do.  In order to take care of others we need to take responsibility for our own care by taking this time ut to really relax.

“I have been going to Bernie for nearly 3 years now, basically I have told her that she is not allowed to leave town.  Unfortunately I have had a major health issue that gave me paralysis on the left side of the face and weakened my body on the same side causing a lot of side effects.  Bernie has been there for me through it all including massaging my face to increase circulation and facial movement to taking care of all my twists in the body due to my imbalance.  I have approached Bernie on many occasions feeling very broken including my spirit and have actually walked literally walked from the clinic feeling amazing including my spirit.  Bernie you have been blessed with an amazing skill and people who pass up the opportunity are missing out.”

Warm Stone Massage

This is a Native American Indian Technique used to treat aching muscles. The heat from the stones enables the muscles to loosen up and relax which allows for easier manipulation of soft tissues as needed. This can help enhance sleep, relieve pain and is beening recommended for arthritis, fibromyalgia, hypertension and musculoskeletal problems.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A very gentle form of massage to encourage the natural drainage of the lymphatic sytem which carries waste products away from the tissues and back towards the heart area. Our lymphatic system is our front line of defence in fighting infections, detoxifying our bodies and transporting wastes, excess fluid, bacteria and toxins out of the body. This is a very gentle whole body treatment that relaxes the nervous system and aids immune function.

Indian Head Massage

This ancient technique has been used by men and women in India for thousands of years. It is believed that a daily routine massage helps rejouvenate the body. It is a fast and effective way to de-stress and very calming. We often store a lot of tension in the shoulders, neck and scalp areas, which in turn can cause headaches, hair loss, eyestrain, jaw, neck and shoulder pain.

This massage can be done sitting or lying down which makes it ideal for those that have difficulty lying down. It is a great idea for office workers as you can do it with clothes on and without oil.

Sinus Treatment using a Tiger Warmer

So what is a Tiger Warmer? It is a portable hand held acu-point heating device which contains a lit moxa stick. This used on the sinus points of the face to help unblock the sinuses giving relief from congestion and pain. It is very relaxing and works very well in conjunction with ear candling.

Cupping

Cupping dates back to ancient Egytian, Chinese and middle Eastern Cultures. Suction is created on the skin which feels kind of weird for a start but can hugely benefit someone with super tight muscles that just won’t release with general remedial massage.

It helps mobilise blood flow which in turn helps to promote healing. It is one of the best deep tissue therapies available and is thought to affect tissues up to four inches deep below the surface of the skin. It can help toxins be released, blockages be cleared and veins and arteries be refreshed within this four inches of affected soft tissue.
